Garage Door Repairs Gold Coast

A garage door that won't open is usually the day's biggest problem: the car is trapped, or the house is wide open. Our vans carry the common springs, cables, rollers and motor parts, so most Gold Coast repairs are finished on the first visit.

Faults we fix every week

  • Door off its track – usually after a car bump, a worn roller or a snapped cable. Never force it closed; it can drop.
  • Broken torsion or extension springs – the door suddenly feels very heavy or the motor strains and stops.
  • Frayed or snapped lift cables – the door sits crooked, higher on one side.
  • Grinding, squealing or banging – dry or worn rollers, loose hinges, or a roller door that's lost tension.
  • Door reverses before it closes – misaligned or dirty safety beams, or the motor force setting has drifted.
  • Dented or cracked panels – single sectional panels can often be replaced without a whole new door.
  • Motor hums but the door doesn't move – stripped drive gear, failed capacitor or a disengaged trolley.
  • Remotes stopped working – flat batteries, lost coding or a failed receiver board.

How a repair visit runs

We book a two-hour arrival window and text when we're on the way. On site we run the door manually and on the motor, check spring balance, cables, rollers, tracks and the safety reverse, then tell you what's wrong in plain English with a fixed price before any work starts. If you'd rather not go ahead, you pay only the call-out.

Every repair finishes with a full balance and safety test, and we show you the manual release so you can get the car out in a power cut.

Repair or replace?

Most doors are worth repairing. We'll recommend a replacement only when the panels are rusted through, the door is no longer made and parts are scarce, or the repair cost is getting close to a new door. On the coast, salt-damaged steel doors more than 15 to 20 years old are the usual candidates. If that's where you are, we'll give you both prices side by side.

Safety first: if a spring or cable has broken, leave the door where it is and keep people and cars clear. The spring system holds the weight of the door, and without it the door can fall.

Garage Door Repairs: common questions

How quickly can you come out for a garage door repair?

We aim for same-day service across the Gold Coast between 7am and 9pm. If a door is stuck open or a car is trapped inside, tell us when you call and we'll prioritise it.

Do you repair all garage door brands?

Yes. We repair sectional, roller and tilt doors and the openers that run them, including B&D, Gliderol, Steel-Line, Merlin, ATA, Centurion and most imported motors.

Will I get a price before the work starts?

Yes. We diagnose the fault, explain it, and give you a fixed price on site. Nothing is done until you approve it.
